“Most people look at me and think I have always been in the shape I am now – healthy, fit and excited about working out. But this couldn’t be farther from the truth! Reality is, most of my adolescence was spent being inactive. I hated exercising and the last thing I wanted to do was change my eating habits. I was overweight, insecure about my appearance, and lacked all motivation to make a change. Until one summer my family and I had gone on vacation, which encouraged me to get outside and become more active. After that vacation I enjoyed the way being more active made me FEEL. From that point on, I started doing at-home workouts -slowly adding more exercises, more repetitions, and ultimately reframing my mindset around nutrition.
My own fitness journey is what inspired me to become a personal trainer. I started out just wanting to improve myself, but along the way I fell in love with learning about health, exercise, nutrition and the progression that follows. It wasn’t always easy - I made plenty of mistakes. I had to figure out what worked and what didn’t through trial and error. That process made me stronger and more motivated to help others do the same. Now, I want to use what I have learned to help other individuals who might be struggling to feel confident.”
Colbie is an ISSA Certified Personal Trainer, Bodybuilding Specialist, and Nutritionist.
He has been with the VITAL MVMNT team since September 2025, and services include strength training, weight loss, muscle building and nutrition.
